Domenico Almondo, after graduating in Agricultural Sciences, began his producing career in 1980, first with the vineyards of his father Giovanni, then gradually increasing the area. The main idea that moves Domenico from the beginning was to produce wines that fully reflect the characters of the Roero, its terroir and its values, in constant regard for the family winemaking tradition. The Almondo family take care of the 15 hectares of vineyards in Monta with focus and dedication: minimum chemical interventions, always grassing and manual weeding. All these devices have meant that the winery became a point of reference in the Roero area. What impressed us so much about the winery is definitely the desire to produce unique and high quality labels, that full representing the terroir of Monta.
