Since 1971, Fattoria Moretto has been managed by Altariva family with great energy and harmony, a great and commendable example of efficiency: Fausto follows the production and works closely with the agronomist and enologist, while his son Fabio deals the commercial side.
It is on the hills of Castelvetro, in the heart of the territory of Lambrusco Grasparossa, 200 meters above sea level. The good microclimate, the gentle slopes, the proximity of the forest have appointed an ideal habitat for a regime of traditional farming that has continued for almost twenty years. The vines have been planted after careful clonal selection and now, being bred with the spurred cordon or Guyot, are between 20 and 40 years old.
According to a traditional and forward-looking production’s philosophy, all the processes are focus on minimizing the environmental impact and on the genuine products. The vinification, for example, admits only native yeasts and requires very long times of maceration to give more complexity to the wine.
Thanks to their unique style and efficient, Fausto and Fabio are emerging as great performers of Lambrusco Grasparossa with classic versions, authentic craft. These are wines of great character, sharp and direct, with a fine balance and a delicious aroma. The harmony of components, the balance and the authenticity are the key words of this winery, whose wines are unmissable for all Lambrusco lovers.
