Moschioni

Moschioni Winery was born at the beginning of the twentieth century in Cividale del Friuli, where the family was present since 1500 and owned 14 acres of land. In 1953 the Moschioni buy 13 acres of land from the Curia, on the hills around Cividale, in positions particularly suitable for the production of wine grapes. The soils are different from each other both for composition and exposure, which then give rise to wines with different characteristics between them. In 1989, Michael takes over the reins of the winery and decided to stake everything on the production of red wines, in an area where they are produced almost exclusively white wines, for a reason: value of native vines, almost forgotten, such as the Pignolo, the Scoppiettino, Refosco and Tezzelenghe. In the vineyards is adopted organic farming and winery traditional methods, without bias, everything has to be as natural as possible. Passion, steely determination and exasperated care of the various processes lead Michael to win the bet, despite the initial misgivings of many, the wines produced by the winery are stunning, powerful, elegant and conquer in a short time the favors of a wider audience connoisseurs and prestigious awards from national and foreign criticism. Today Michael is assisted by his sons, who inherited his father's passion not only to do well, but to continuously improve the quality of their already high fantastic wines.
