Billy Stitchell is the director of the distillery and worked there for years, as well as his father, both his grandfathers and his great-grandfather. This unbroken line is proof that tradition and expertise are key here. The Distillers Edition is subjected to a double maturation in casks that have previously content of fortified wine. The wood is not too obvious and creates a perfect balance with this rich single malt. Light golden color, the nose is particularly concentrated, pure and clean. Gives feelings torbate with rich aromas of fruit and spices; along with water will enhance the smoky notes and fragrant. Of medium bodied, the palate initially affect the sweetness and malt notes that are immediately overwhelmed by peat smoke and intense flavors incisors. The characters are evident smoky and accumulate in a nice crescendo. It is dry and balanced, complex and elegant, enhanced by spicy notes of cinnamon.
