Giorgio Anselmet seems born to be a vigneron: carefree and with a contagious enthusiasm, he leads this important reality with passion and courage. He does not lack in training and experience, obtained at the Institut Agricole and at Crotta de Vigneron, but above all, in his wines there are impressed a great manual dexterity and a right sense of proportion: always balanced and refined, never over the top. In the winery there is also his father Renato, who founded the company in the seventies, and his son Henry and his wife Bruna Cavagnet.
The vineyards of Anselmet consist of seven hectares divided into thirty-five-land, many of them on the hill of Torrette, between 780 and 830 meters high: an arid zone, characterized by a strong presence of the sun and significant climate changes. On this land particularly affect strains with very low stem, to no more than 50 centimeters from the ground, precisely designed to take advantage of the earth's heat.
In addition to meticulous care of his vineyards, George is also skillful in the cellar, where he demonstrates enormous qualities in the use of wood, which is never invasive in its wines, but on the contrary, it exalts them to perfection. Anselmet is the fair expression of an extreme territory that is always willing to give us great wines.
