Rum Caroni - Velier 15 Anni

This is a rum distilled and aged for fifteen years on the island of Trinidad. The label is a vintage and ristilizza mythical Caroni 40s. On the bottle you can read "From the last Trinidad molasses", this indicates that it is the last rum in history to be produced from sugar cane the Caribbean island of Trinidad. Golden color, scent powerful. Aged totally to the Caribbean, a real Caroni, slightly younger of vintage and then lowered to 52% degrees for a perfect balance of rum. The nose is fascinating and elegant with notes of tropical fruit and oriental spices. The taste is warm and silky. In postnasal emerge exotic fruit and minerality. A rum extraordinary whose flavor is composed scent of chocolate, citrus and sweet spices, accompanied by notes during oxygenation of toasted wood, tobacco leaf and candied fruit; in the background a balanced and wonderful notes of sherry. The taste is full and robust medium body. The explosion on the palate reveals aromatic notes of oriental spices and a subtle hint of citrus that is accompanied by a good presence of sherry, cocoa and tobacco. Balanced, quite smooth, powerful and long finish.
