Sauvignon 'Vulcaia Fumé' Inama 2020

Inama has been for more than fifty years, in the complex landscape of Soave Classico, a cornerstone for winemaking rooted in the territory. The idea from which the first trial on Sauvignon springs, in 1991, starts from the desire to extend the knowledge about Soave, not yet through his Classic wine (precisely, Soave), but with an interpretation of an international grape, grown for the first time on such a volcanic soil. This attempt gave rise to a whole new version of the French variety. The vine was found to be, since the earliest vintages, highly "domesticated" from the territory, with hints and flavors of ripe fruit, and free of vegetal notes, as for the original varietal expression. Vulcaia Fumè, a wood-fermented version of the same wine, gained from the beginning a considerable interest because of his plumpness and his abundance of tropical fruits, coffee and citrus. Produced in the historic vineyards of Monte Foscarino, with vines aged more than twenty years, Vulcaia Fumè can be rightly called a "volcanic" wine, featuring mellow tones and a strong adaptation to the terroir of origin.
