In 1923, Shinjiro Torii, the founder and father of Japanese whiskey Suntory, Japan built the first malt whiskey distillery, in the Valley of Yamakazi. Using copper stills, distillery Yamakazi was the first of its kind to be built outside the borders of Scotland. It is located near the ancient capital of Japan, Kyoto, and provides pure water, diversified climates and high humidity, the ideal environment for the aging of good quality whiskey. Today Hibiki Suntory whiskey is Japan's most popular and is appreciated by connoisseurs around the world and is the harmony between the art of distilling whiskey and the perfect work of the Japanese. Hibiki Japanese for "echo", as to refer to the many types of pure single malt that are aged in different types of wood, all combined to create a symphony of flavors and aromas. Among them the Mizunara, a kind of Japanese oak extremely rare granting perfumes absolutely unconventional. Floral and enigmatic, Hibiki failed to make an art of blending. Questo12 years has been aged in barrels "Umeshu" that have previously contained plum liqueur. So the aging second passage gives sweetness to the whiskey, along with a velvety texture and fruity aromas. A blend of malt and wheat, filtered through bamboo charcoal to obtain a particularly soft whiskey. It presents an amber pallidocon nose oriented pineapple, plum, raspberry, honey and custard. The finish is long and gives sweet notes, spicy and fruity.
